Project
Management and Product Development :: Evolution of The
QuickSilver Hotel Portal. As Project Manager
and Creative Director for the InnHanse International
"QuickSilver Hotel Portal", I worked closely
with clients to gain insight into regional market segments
and property idiosyncrasies. Following the completion
of a short list of major market portals for Hyatt, I
transformed our prime product from a value-added amenity
into a viable marketing tool, which cut costs and provided
new revenue streams to our client hotels. After hands-on
management of over a half dozen portal projects for
major market hospitality venues, we sponsored the Hyatt
International GM Conference 2000.
Overwhelming
Success. As Featured Technology at the Conference,
the QuickSilver Hotel Portal was an overwhelming success.
Each attending Hyatt GM was given personalized Sun Systems
"Smart Cards" for the Portal Kiosks that were
strategically placed throughout the conference floor.
The Event Portal, designed by Image Magic, provided
an Event Agenda, Keynote Speaker Comments, and an online
Power Point Presentation outlining the featured technology
of the QuickSilver Portal, which was so well received
that Hyatt International made the decision to incorporate
the portal as a standard in-room appliance in Hyatt
Hotels on a global basis. This was the single most successful
proposal approved during the entire business life of
InnHanse International.

Multiple
Market Niche. Developing a web presence for
Florida healthcare industry services provider and surgery
center specialists, WRP Enterprises Inc., was a multidimensional
niche marketing challenge. Three distinct areas of business
... BuiltSTAT transportable modular
medical clinics, MedEQUIP discount
major medical equipment, and IEQ indoor
environmental quality were to be presented as separate
yet complimentary business entities featured in online
brochures with unique but consistent brand imagery.

was used as the HUB for a set of 3 satellite websites,
each featuring a separate medical industry start-up
venture offering a market segment of products and/or
services, which were support products and/or services
for other businesses in the collection.
Corporate
Identity. Logos were created using the consistent
design elelment of the same font with color scheme based
on the interface of each corresponding website's user
interface.
Shared
Brand Image GUI. The client, an IAQ-Bioengineering
PhD., required imagery that was appropriate to his area
of expertise and market niche to be developed as the
website's' hub page. The overall GUI had to convey a
look and feel that was concurrently medical, modular,
and microbial, since brand image recognition was an
important factor in the overall business plan. Brand
image continuity was established using the same GUI
format and font, with a distinct color scheme per area
of business.

as well as cooperative presentation of Weyerhauser
Lyptus®. The Image Magic marketing goal is
to transition WoodChuck Industries from it's position
as a best choice for custom residential cabinetry
and fine furniture into resource for Real Estate
developers, general contractors, construction
project managers and interior designers, positioning
the WoodChuck in the evoke set for custom commercial
cabinetry and high end custom commercial office
furniture.

Innovative
Service Solutions, an Orlando-based HVAC/R Mechanical
Contractor servicing the Commercial, Industrial,
and Medical Industries throughout Central and
Southwest Florida, was ready to upgrade it's website
from an unproductive BellSouth Template to a custom
site from which to launch new market niche services
and represent the company's existing service areas,
while presenting ISS corporate information in
an industry appropriate manner.
The
clients expertise and clear understanding of his
well-chosen market niche and specific target market,
as well as additional research was vital in developing
this industry specific marketing tool. Image Magic
used the clients existing corporate colors and
logo, which was upgraded and optimized for web
viewing.
Since
publication of it's Image Magic website, Innovative
Service Solutions has changed its clientele from
primarily residential to primarily COMMERCIAL
and INDUSTRIAL clients. The residential section
was removed from the website and replaced with
the more profittable HEALTHCARE area of business.
ISS has opened a new office in Tampa, FL and added
several new technicians and service trucks to

weeks before deadline while completing the 2000
Hyatt General Managers International Conference
event portal for Innhanse International picked
up another technology partner, Clark Cabling Inc.
to be represented online at that conference. This
website, including the new corporate logo, was
developed and online concept to completion with
no input from our new partner in California in
those 2 weeks. The website exceeded their expectations,
had no revisions required, and is still being
used today, 7 years later.
